I'm not sure, honestly. Jeff Parker convinced me to return to Thunderbolts (I dropped the book when Ellis and Deodato took over), but a big part of my return was the lineup of the team. The new lineup doesn't really interest me all that much and I'm a little disappointed to see so many characters dropped. I'm also not a fan of the Dark Avengers concept in general.
However, Parker's run has been enjoyable, and he did write Agents of Atlas, probably the best book Marvel has produced in years.
I'll check out the first issue but I'm not committed to the series just yet.
