I kind of enjoyed it but felt maybe Carnage should have escaped instead of what happened. He was in prison in the beginning of the arc and he went back to prison in the end. No difference really beyond the lobotomy. Thankfully, they didn't kill him like with what Sentry did earlier. I think Flash's reluctance to kill is perhaps his time with the Avengers and the inner Spidey fan in him tht wants him to not kill people like that. Sure, he has killed before but usually its out of provocation or anger. Carnage was beaten here and Scarlet tried to finish him so I think Flash had an objection to that.

A good run and loved Carnage going 'Not-Spider and Not-Venom' since he seems to think of them as pale copies of the originals.

Poor Kaine, the guy can't catch a break.

Kaine: "So...Yeah...Thanks for the fortune cookie wisdom and constant threat of death."

Redeemer: "You are welcome. I would wish you luck, but we both know that is not in your future."

Well I enjoyed this crossover a great deal.First the Kaine/Venom teamp-up I've been dreaming since SS started.Throw in the Microverse storyline which I found very interesting.Finish it all up with the fun, sick, demented banter of Carnage. All in all it was awesome.

I'm really curious to see how carnage is "more dangerous than ever" in the future (didn't think that was possible). I have a feeling that it has something to do with the "spawning" that was mentioned earlier in Venom.

The crossover was pretty flat as a whole. Hated the art mostly. From the get go (Cletus' weird face?), this was a little off the rails. Felt way too 90s where the writers throw you into the story with a ton of support characters youve never been exposed to before. And just like that, half are killed off making those build up issues fruitless. Venom and Scarlet's interactions were uneventful as well. Felt like the voices were very off too, aside from the Omega issue, and Scarlett and Redeemer's conversations.

This was a microverse story featuring SS and Venom and Carnage. No where near the quality of the proper books or Carnage event books of the past.

I enjoyed it. Was expecting a better story that didn't involve the microverse though.

Man, I hate that this story had a break, it freaking threw me off so much that I missed the last two issues (Venom 27 and Omega). Now I have to go find them at one of the stores in the area.

I kinda took it that Cletus's crazy moral lesson he was always trying to teach the world held back the symbiote from mass destruction. Frankly it could wipe out entire towns quickly if it didnt follow Cletuses perverse schemes. Odd as it seems to think that Cletus subdued Carnage.

When Carnage first started, Cletus one time told the symbiote to shut up since he the human half, and thus the one in control. In another story, he tells the symbiote to leave him if it wants to, since he's a perfectly capable serial killer without it.

The new Carnage very much reminds me of Venom from Web of Shadows, that was devoid of any human sensibilities and only wanted to reproduce and conquer the planet. I seriously think that we might heading towards a major war between the spawn of Venom, Toxin, and Carnage, as they have all exhibited their desire to come out on top in "the spawning." I don't know if the Life Foundation symbiotes will take part since they are catatonic (and the Scream symbiote is still AWOL). I have no idea how Scorn would get involved.

Totally odd. But I think the symbiote wouldn't have been as deranged as it is, if not for years of sharing a mind with Cletus.

Read the Omega issue, the art was bad for Cleatus whenever he wasn't in suit, some of the transitions weren't great either, add in the fact that I feel the two stars didn't get nearly enough time to bounce their personalities and values off each other... this was disappointing. A good story but I feel it could and should have been better.

I found the story kind of bland. Scarlet Spider is one of Marvel's best titles and characters IMO and I'm kinda looking forward to it getting back to normal. Flash's reluctance to kill seems a bit odd, considering he's a soldier and has killed before. I guess cold-blooded lobotomy is a bit different than killing someone in battle, though.

Just finished reading it. I'm not sure when this happened, but when did Cletus grow a new lower body?
Decided to not read posts that contain the words marriage, OMD, BND, and Mephisto. Why? I'm tired of it.

I dunno, but now I think I'd like to grow a new lower body...
