Default Marvel Wraps Up "X-Men" in February

Marvel Comics' February solicitations reveal "X-Men" #41 written by Seth Peck with art by Jefte Palo will be the final issue of the series, even as the publisher continues to announce more titles for Marvel NOW!

Man, I hate that Morrison/Quitely era White Queen costume. So glad they changed it!

I don't think anyone is particularly surprised about the cancellation (and presumed reboot) of this title, given that Seth said he was only brought on for a few issues. As I've said elsewhere, I hope they give it right back to Wood once it relaunches. :P

Please please please can this be laying the ground for a new series by Brian Wood.

When you put a terrible hack writer on a mid tier book like X-Men, it usually gets cancelled. Marvel, you can do better for your fans than Seth Peck.

He hinted at something on one of the forums a while ago, so it is possible. On another note, I like Wolverine, I'm not one of the people that constantly complains about him being everywhere, but do we really need two solo series on top of everything else?

The last issue was pretty good, and it's pretty obvious they hired him to finish up this series. They didn't decide to cancel it yesterday after one issue of the new run (which has recieved well reviews on top of that).

No one liked this series till Wood took over and it stopped being X-Men Team-Up. It had almost no relevance, why would they make a big deal its ending?
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

That's really insulting. I'm sure it was going to get cancelled either way. If Seth Peck wrote or not. these plans are made way in advance. I loved the last issue. If you want to blame someone blame Marvel. they got rid of Wood when they knew the fans wanted him.

Nah the letters in the teaser are shining, implying adamantium. I'd love a Daken series but I don't see it happening.

    Or an X-23/Jubille team-up? Or a mini?

Marjorie Liu talked about how much she wanted to do that but couldn't (and X is unavailable due to Arena), and they've only teased ongoings so far.

Then my best guess is that Frank Cho series is a limited series (and from how it sounds until now probably it is, since is hard to belive that the series can continue always in Savage Land).
