I went ahead and voted Frankenstein, but in the interest of full disclosure: my issue of Demon Knights is a week late.

Demon Knights for me. Loving where it's going. I'm going to miss Cornell when he's gone...

What I bought, best to worst:

Demon Knights - the most consistent New 52 comic, has yet to have a bad issue. Another fine installment. I really hope this doesn't go significantly downhill when Cornell leaves, although even if it does, at least we got quite the run here.

Batman - posted a thorough review in the Batman forum stating why I did not like this. Basically I think the Joker's "characterization" is awful and the story is too grim and not fun. Art is still great.

Ame-Comi Girls (the regular series digitally, not the Batgirl print issue that came out) - I thought this was terrible. I dropped this a while back but gave it another shot with the Jade arc, which I liked, but this was so bad that it helped me remember why I dropped the series in the first place, and now the series is re-dropped, probably permanently. The dialogue is so throwaway and meaningless. I know the book is meant to be light and cute, but Palmiotti and Gray did a much better job with that in their Power Girl ongoing a few years back. I like the art but I can't really read something this stupid anymore.

It wasn't even close. Batgirl beat the crap out of everything else I bought this week.

Suicide Squad was okay and I like cheesecake Harley (Yowza), but it kinda dragged.
Superboy just had too many editor notes to not be distracting.
The most interesting thing about B&R was that the Joker made zombies.
Batman #14 was the pointless rambling of a self-important hack, that left readers exactly where it left them last month.

Frankenstein. People that didn't vote for it probably just don't read it. :p

Demon Knights, followed by Ame-Comi Girls and Arkham City for me.

Very strong week, particularly counting the independents and Marvels I got as well. Almost makes up for how disappointing last week was. Thoroughly enjoyed all except for Arkham Unleashed, which I will be dropping.

    Phantom Stranger # 2

How is Snyder a hack? Hack-a person who exploits for money, one who produces mediocre work in hope of gaining comercial success.

I understand if you don't like his work, but he, at least from what he has said, writes Batman because he enjoys writing it, not to get some cheap money off it. Obviously he wants money, but a hack?

No, I don't think so. Liefeld is a hack.

Sorry it was hyperbole, I am guilty of it often. If this arc was all I had ever read from Snyder I would have no problem calling him a hack though. The man is talented and I like some of his other works right now, but this is bad, like easily "worst book I read all week", bad. And the reviews are all gushing. It really is strange there is no middle ground on this arc. Either you think it is awesome or you hate it. There is only a few people arguing that it is mediocre.

It's alright. Besides, I don't listen to reviewers much. I loved all of court of owls part 1, and, while I enjoyed night of owl, I wouldn't call part 2 a masterpiece like the reviews were saying.
