    Mild SPOILERS

Having read Batgirl # 14, its clear that Babs feels quiet capable of KILLING the Joker this time round. And actually, that's an interesting premise, seeing as Joker is targeting 'the family'. What if Joker targeting everyone close to Batman, especially Alfred, causes his allies to consider abandoning the 'no-kill' rule, or at the very least, seriously injure/maim the Joker and take definitive steps to end his reign of terror once and for all. And therein lies the seeds for the 'death of the family'...Batman is at odds with the allies, who want to kill the Joker, while he is still adamantly clinging to his principles. Maybe that's what Joker means when he claims Batman will kill the allies...Batman may have to take some pretty extreme steps to prevent his allies from betraying his code, especially if Joker harms Alfred.

But we've already had this in Last Laugh when Dick killed the Joker because he (mistakenly) believed the Joker had killed Tim. All this does is replace Tim with Alfred...

Based on some artwork I saw last night, I now have to eliminate this:

'- The abduction of Alfred was all in his head?'

    Dagnabbit!
