Yeah, the Point One story was great IMO. Really liking Forge being back. Madison Jeffries was such a poor man's Forge it wasn't even funny. Nice to have the real deal in this book. And Nemesis really grew on me after awhile too, so I look forward to his interactions with Cable. Something tells me that will be fun. And I really, really like Colossus in the powerhouse role here. He's like Warpath but made of steel and more visually interesting. Domino and Cable were already huge selling points for me, but I like that they won't jump back into a relationship. Let them both see other people. Maybe once in awhile they hook up, but it's more of an "old habits die hard" type of thing.
As for Hope, I love the father-daughter dynamic between her and Cable. And I also like that she won't be part of the crew but will be a big part of the cast.
I do wonder whether Nathan will keep the cybernetic arm once his left arm is built back up, though. Also, how long before Nemesis and/or Forge whip him up a bionic replacement eye for the one he's apparently lost? I'd imagine that his look will evolve as he fixes himself along the way, and I can't wait to see all of the cool weapons and tools that this team will have at their disposal. Hopeless said that they will be coming up with some cool stuff.
I'm looking forward to a Thunderbolts/Cable & X-Force cross over. I want Deadpool, Cable, and Domino to reunite and see what chaos comes of it. Or at least have DP guest star for a storyline. I think that would fun to read.
Larocca cover looks 100x better in black & white. The muddy colors may really hurt my enjoyment of this book, though I liked the preview pages (Larocca's Havok looks kinda great, much better than Cassaday's rendition). Wait & see, I guess.
