In the following scene, Kitty burns through Emma like Jean Grey never could. In fact, by fighting tooth and nail to keep Scott, Jean proved to be as weak as Emma. Here Kitty calls Emma out on her lack of self-respect.

Yes he did. His Kitty was enthusiastic, the link that kept them all together, and always did the right thing.

Remember that Kitty spent months trapped in a psychic rapport with Emma with only Emma to talk to. She's got her number.

Emma stayed with Scott because A: She loved him and B: She pretty much legitamtely agreed with his methods.

The whole reason they ended up in those cells for the criminal activity they did as Phoenix. Who started that? Not Scott, EMMA goated Namor into attacking Wakanda, completely of her own iniative. Her relationship with Scott was hardly Emma's problem. And even if it was, I'd side with Emma before the girl that is outright bragging about jumping ship when she realised the person she loved was going down a path could make him go evil and probably get killed. Thank god for Illyana and Cable, Colossus lost the only friend he had worth a damn in Kurt.

His entire run was a hit job on Kitty. For some good Kitty, we fans had to settle for brief appearances under Headmaster Claremont, Professor Carey or break out the back issues. :(
