I find it interesting that he doesn't look more like a monstrosity outright. Evil, yes but not exactly ghoulish. Not everything has to be blatantly obvious in terms of appearance, in my opinion.

Gorr the God Butcher actually looks quite dangerous, though knowing what reasons are behind his action is still needed for me. Still, glad Thor is getting a serious threat to match.

Yeah I might be dropping this soon. A guy in a banana hammock with a bad hood doesn't scream badass or scary. And the name Gorr is so stupid and as lame as calling him Bludd or Des Troy etc. (Although nothing can be as bad as H'El ) I do like that it seems to be a self contained series though but so much for suspense if this is indeed the big bad already.

LOL...Thor will give him a "nipple lock" with his iron grip, that will cause the him to cower in submission. Ever been done in a comic?

Anyone who says "today's comics are for adults" and likes "Gorr the God Butcher", has lost all credibility as an advocate of "mature" comics.

im going to be 100% honest......... he looks F#####g BADASS
if you read the first issue which came out yesterday, thor mentions that the slaughtered mass of gods he found, where killed with many multitudes of weapons and yet he found none discarded, well this reveal shows why, his hands appear to form weapons at will, a very fitting power for a killer of gods, this is also likely how he generates his guard dogs.

Even of you dont like the design, can we all at least agree he looks more badass and menacing than Desak the god slayer from dan jurggens thor run
He looks kind of like Antivenom, and and blades makes me think of the symbionts.

I don't get it....why are there so many God (or is it god?) killers in the MU? You have Gorr, Desak and that beluga whale from Fraction's run. For once, I'd like like a god killer to be there not as a villain, but as an opposing force of balance such as Galactus.

But Aaron is killing it so far with Thor. Fraction is too personal with his story telling for Thor and I thought Aaron would be worse based on his WatXM/Hulk runs but damn if the rest of his run is as good as what we've gotten so far I'll keep buying.

lol Beluga Whale..... i read all of fractions run but i seriously cant figure out who your talking about

tis a good point, that said i think while he is definatly evil and a villain Gorr fits your idea pretty well, considering how long he seems to have been operating, and the scale he is working on if Thors Disturbing idea that the majority of the gods Cronicled in the Hall of the Lost indeed where killed by Gorr.
