Enjoyed it. Can't wait to see this Gorr The God Butcher, the art was beautiful too.
"You wouldn't like me when I'm happy" - Bruce Banner
Good review.
The book was pretty good.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
Nice! I'm certainly on board for this run!
Good stuff. Just finished reading the inaugural issue. It was like a breath of fresh air for the Odinson. Very solid opening issue.

I don't understand this review. How is it not 5 stars?! This was certainly my favorite comic of the week. Marvel NOW! is kicking into a new gear this week with a plethora of new #1’s and Jason Aaron’s Thor may be the creme de la creme. Of all the heroes that probably needed a breath of fresh air it was Thor especially after the abysmal Fear Itself storyline. Thor has become a laughingstock over the last year as he’s been beaten up by many characters with ease including Rachel Summers over in Wolverine and the X-Men. But maybe you don’t like Thor to begin with and you say you’d never purchase it? After reading this I’m more than certain many people will be changing their tune.

This issue was amazing. I went in not knowing a lot about Thor, and came away very excited. Buy this book, it's amazing.
It's not 5-stars because it's Doug Zawisza and I've noticed from his reviews that he's rather partial to DC in general and Grant Morrison in particular. Keep that same Thor story but change the by-line from Jason Aaron to Grant Morrison and it's probably gonna be 6-stars from Zawisza. That being said, a 4-star review from Zawisza on anything not from DC or by Grant can be considered a 5-star review.
Personally, I think your review was better.
I agree, I also found it strange that the reviewer didn’t rate it 5 stars, as he really seemed to enjoy this issue, and had nothing bad to say about it. Anyway, it’s 5 stars in my book, as this was truly excellent!

If my words and grammar are not correct, that's because English is not my native language! My English would have been far worse if I hadn't read original comics for decades though!
I don't tend to get bent out of shape about star ratings, all that really matters was that this was definitely my favorite book of the week.
Loved this book. Loved the darkness and the constant feeling of dread. Just a book that drips with atmosphere, thanks to both the script and the art. Thor's narration only enhances this, and it's certainly something different. The book is just effing epic.
Easily the best Marvel NOW book of the week and, honestly, of the entire relaunch so far.
What are the odds that Gorr the God Butcher ever appears in another writer's book?
I would hope with the Red Skull in Uncanny Avengers probably pulling out all stops including using the occult, that Thor there is portrayed as being willing to enlist some expertise in magic Asgard has, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen ...
