I love BKV's writing, but have grown tired of the shocking panels that he's having drawn every issue.
Gimme gimme shock treatment.

Yeah that and the cursing reminds me why most mature readers books aren't my thing. Use these in service to the story and the characters, great. But every single issue with some gratuitous moment, it starts to detract from the characters and their story...
Which brings me to the real reason why I can't get into this book: I don't like or care about Alana, Marko or Hazel.
Fatale gives me all the mature I need as part of the story.
I am glad that people love it.
Wake me up when it's over...
I read the trade of issues 1-6, and then issue 7 today. I love it. Easily one of the best comic books I've read.
I might actually read it all again later this week.
'Before all hell breaks loose. Before the Hangman's noose. As the sun goes down, I'll say it's a good day to die'.
Welcome the in-laws..
I just read the first trade and issue #7 today. This is now my favorite current read. Excellent story and the art style matches it well.
Love this comic, but I agree with some of the people on here. Some of the "shocking" panels, I find more annoying then shocking.
Great issue none the less though. Tight writing, great art. Can't wait for the next one.
I wish more people were shocked by exploding heads than genitalia.
7 issues in, and I'm still not over how American and 21st century the dialogue is. I suppose it's no worse than assuming all space opera characters speak aristocratic British English, but I'm still getting used to it.
Because it's not actually taking place in space.

Personally, I find both shocking, but my feelings towards the shock depend on how writer used it. I find shock value to be personally eye rolling and annoying unless it adds something to the tale in a good way. MW, Funny Games, and Nemesis examples of how not to use shock for various reason. My only experience with Saga is the first and the seventh issue and I'm starting the question the use of it. Maybe it's used right in the other issues?
I'm obsessed with this series!!!![]()
