Yeah yeah, Jean is back. woop dee doo. Let's get real and talk about the actual stars of the NOW age- the B-Side mutants and the two writers that seem to be championing them the hardest. Greg Pak and Marjorie Liu, respectively.
Most notably starting in his run of last year's Astonishing, Pak has grand ideas for cross dimensional travel featuring mutants of various backgrounds, worlds and allegiances.
Liu keeps it in the 616 and feeds the fans fleshed out backstories of B-side mutants and villains that keep to the darker corners of the MU.
who has done a better job of giving us fans what we really want?

Jubilee and Chimera sort of work (Jubilee has been in books off-and-on for the last couple years) and Chimera's Marauders (not Brotherhood) kind of work, too, I guess.
That said, Pak only has one ace in the hole, Sage, who isn't obscure among X-Men fans, and may or may not be the real Sage. (I'm guessing it is, but we'll have to see.) The rest have been spins on Wolverine and B-Listers.

Draw. Liu's going more in-depth with her crew, but Pak's world-jumping means he can deliver more when it comes to variety.
