I picked this up so I'd have an idea what was going on when issue 4 (which has Chamber on the cover <3) comes out and really enjoyed it. If it stays at this quality I'll happily continue to buy even after Jono's bit is done.

Really cool and crazy issue. I was a little dismayed when he blew up all the cool stuff he'd created, but I'm excited for what comes next
Steve Rogers: You ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of death?
James Barnes: Hell, no! The little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him."
Google is your friend. You just have to type "wiki merzah the mystic" and you wind up with tons of links

I didn't know it either! Wow, now I like this book even more.

Wow. duh, thanks.
hold a second, did I read that right?
"Merzah appears to be psychic as he can sense impending danger."
... so I guess he just succumbed to death then? Maybe he wanted to die to spurn David into action... a wizard in the refrigerator if you will. But I don't see how that will help anything.
I mean no matter how powerful David is Mezrah must have seen that coming, right?
or maybe theres more to it than that. i dunno. All I know is I gotta try out that all winners squad series, its right up my alley.

Another thing: is Merzah a mutant?

No, he was seen in Paul Jenkin's excellent, but lamented, ALL WINNERS SQUAD, last year.
Interesting! I hope that's true. That Mezrah escaped.
I loved ALL WINNERS SQUAD, but I should warn you, Marvel axed the mini-series before it finished. We'll never find out about
It also wasn't exactly what I expected for a book set in the Golden Age.
I thought the issue was OK
It has potential and I hope the next few issues reaches it more.
Otherwise it was OK...... to me.
Didn't know that Merzah was a real character.
Spurrier had real balls to kill him off like that.
Adults struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life when the answer is obvious to the smallest child: because it's not real. - Grant Morrison
what a wonderful start to (I hope) an INCREDIBLE run
they label me a villain cause of how I express my feelings
look forward
