    Default Spaceman Deluxe version question (spoilers)

    I read through the Spaceman deluxe version recently. And a question!

    What's up with the beginning? Orson going by boat talking about a satellite and a bet, and then a helicopter fires a missile that blows a nearby boat up?

    Why is that?

    Is it because he get's stranded with his boat and the helicopter is a halicunation/fantasy (like the trip to mars) to express this?
