    Default Fate and Spectre

    So the Spectre is coming back to tangle with the Phantom Stranger.

    Fate is back in E2.

    So they are in different U's? That's strange (not Doc Strange - haha).

    Anybody know what's up with Spec - I haven't followed the Nu stuff that much.

    Thanks.

    He's back to be being Jim Corrigan per PS 0. Unless that was set in the past... hard to tell, really. That's about all we know.

    They gave a (crappy) brief origin in Phantom Stranger.

    I wouldn't be surprised if, ultimately, the Spectre was a trans-universal non corporeal entity. A green and white stream of vengeance and malice crossing dimensional barriers, a pus-y effusion in the ultra-menstruum between worlds.

    I keep hoping the Spectre's revised origin in Phantom Stranger #0 was only a dream . . . maybe something Pandora can still "fix" by opening her box again.

    They actually really should have spread the thing out for like maybe six issues or so to show Spectres origin instead of whamp, bamp, thats it.

    I agree. It should have been a sub-plot through the main story with us getting glimpses from time to time. Didio is a crap writer, with all the subtlety of a baseball bat.
    There are four stages of matter. Solid. Liquid. Gas & Don't. It's science.

    Spoilers from Phantom Stranger #2;
    spoilers:
    Jim Corrigan is looking for the Phantom Stranger.

    (But apparently he isn't as bright as Belial, son of Trigon, who showed up in PS' own living room)
    end of spoilers

    These are times when I am glad The Endless are not used in the DCU very much and if they are they use them as if Neil would. . I was wanting to see The Word or Michael be used sometime but I am now very leery about how DC would treat them. The Spectres origin shoulda been more drawn out then what it was I agree.
