Yeah that's what I was gonna ask...I thought there was a lot of hype around 697 needing extra copies ordered or something because it was such a huge deal....but it's 698 then? okay.

Right, which brings me back to my original question: What was it in this issue that Dan Slott didn't want spoiled, to the point of threatening people with blocking them on twitter?

For me it's irrelevant what that plot point is; insinuating to post spoilers way too early cross the line of propriety.

Oh, I agree with that 100%.

The reason I ask this, is because Slott and co. are throwing us a lot of hype lately... It all started with him saying that after 700, he'd have to go internet silent for a while. Then the hype about LCS not ordering enough copies of 698, and now his threat to block anyone who posts a spoiler from 697.

I tore into 697 thinking, "Oh boy, there's something in here that Slott really doesn't want let out!" and then I read it, and although I loved it, I had to re-read it because I thought I had missed something.

What are the chances we're going to be disappointed by 700?

I know it's slightly OT, sorry mods.

And of course, there's the possibility that Slott is reading this, rubbing his hands thinking, "This is exactly what I wanted you to think, you chump! Mwahahahahah!"

Whoa, from the man himself! I gotta say the excitement or potential turmoil is getting me pumped. If it's anything like the rest of Dan's run, I'm sold.

Way off topic but...Still bummed to see Avengers Academy gone. Thanks for the hours of entertainment sir. That was some of my favorite stuff coming out of Marvel in the last few years.

I can't help but worry about JJJ though. Remember those pictures of that fat woman that they said "She is extremely important", I'm taking a bet and saying she's a new mayor or something. Why else is the press surrounding her?

I love him but he's always been struggling to find a place to hang onto in recent years. Would make sense.
