Default Rick Grimes & Daryl Dixon (Walking Dead) Vs Wesley & Gunn (Buffyverse)

    Rick & Daryl

    Vs
    Wes & Gunn

Let's say it's in character, but they're going for the kill.

It's in an abandoned weapons warehouse and no magic is allowed.

They can all get their hands on guns, crossbows, swords, knives, blunt objects etc immediately upon spawning.

How often do Rick and Daryl miss? Seriously... like never.

Take magic out and Wesley could be very weak link for Gunn in this match.

I had thought Wesley became something of a badass by the end? He had some magic(I only remember him doing anything seriously powerful with it in the series finale though), but he also seemed to be much better with weapons then he once was.

I'm not saying they win, just that I would think he could hold his own with Gunn.

Yeah, that's probably fair. I was being a bit harsh on him. But I still don't see them beating the Head-Shot One-Shot Twins from Atlanta.

But Wes has a coffee mug and Gunn has a basketball. Might wanna change your mind?

dude wesley is an incredibly sneaky bastard.

He took down angelus by jacking faith full of poison.

He has the crit against that demon.

it's not that he wasn't a good shot, it's just most of the targets were invulnerable/resistant to bullets.

Let's also not forget that Rick and Daryl are generally aiming at slow-moving targets that aren't trying to get out of the way.

I certainly recall an occasion in season 2 (when Rick finds Hershel in the bar and some outsiders come in to the town) when Rick, in an actual shootout with people who are firing back and who are actively trying not to be shot, doesn't get one-shot headshots with every pull of the trigger.

Wesley's takedown of Skip is easily the most ridiculously, improbably awesome marksmanship feat any of these guys have, and IIRC, he can do the guns akimbo thing to boot. If anything, Gunn is the weakest link here; he brings a lot of muscle and melee skill, but he's bringing it into a firefight.

gunn took out a room with about a dozen vamps in it on his own in the series finale. he was throwing stakes with enough precision and force to penetrate the heart and one-shot them, IIRC. personally, i find rick and daryl to be completely outclassed.

Like I said, Gunn is lethal at close range. If he can get to hand to hand range, then sure, he'll take Rick and Daryl out at the same time, with one hand tied behind his back, and without breaking a sweat. The problem is getting within that range when both Rick and Daryl are going to be using long-range weapons - and ironically, Gunn has no feats with guns.

    no worries

wesley fires to provide cover fire to get gunn to point blank range. ;)

Gunn has a much better chance of getting close in a warehouse setting than elsewhere. I don't think he really needs to though. Wesley has his auto-grapple as standard equip, so he can probably snipe from the ceiling rafters or something.
