Default Cover Contest, Nov. 14- Nov. 20

This week's theme is significant issue numbers that coincide with significant passages in life. For an example, here in the States you need to be 21 to go into a bar, 16 to drive, 18 to vote, things like that. Too weird? too bad.

    THE RULES
Post one, and only one, cover that fits the theme of the contest.
Cover must be from an published comic book or collected volume.
Covers must be posted before voting begins.
Voting runs from 12 AM Tuesday until 12 AM Wednesday PST.
Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most.
The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period.

If you feel a cover doesn't fit the theme, just don't vote for it when voting comes.

What have I always believed? That, on the whole, and by and large, if a person lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, at the end, more or less, turn out ok.

Back in school many of us dreaded turning 18, when you'd be drafted into the army.

    My blog.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

Spack, I don't agree with you on much, and I rather think you're something of a dick, but you are occasionally funny as hell. Jeffrey W.Kramer

On the 28th of January, my youngest son Gardner was born. Turning our family of three into The Fantastic Four!

...I think the cover speaks for itself.
The unicorn is kind of lonely
Being unique and oh so corny
Mounting does not amount to much
    The unicorn is unic-horny.

At 13, at least in Jewish tradition, a boy becomes a man.

Then that man becomes a super-soldier, gets frozen, then rebooted, then fights a super-soldier from an alternate reality. Mazel Tov!

Once you turn 18, you're a man and it's adult jail sentences for you!

    "We must fight on!"
"We'll die. We fight and we die, that's how it goes."
    "Then we die gloriously!"
"There's an important word there, and it's not gloriously."
