Help me out..was Bane superhuman at all in that movie? I mean just looking at him I kinda hope he was otherwise that is an awful waste of green makeup.

He didn't really do anything that a pro-wrestler hasn't done really.... lifted humans above his head etc. He might have done something more impressive than I'm remembering though, I guess. He's certainly stronger than Gunn, and could give Clooney Batman a fight, but he did have a gaping weakness, which is why I didn't give Gunn anything sharp.

If anything, taking out his tubes is pretty much the best way to beat him.

...Didn't Robin and Batgirl quickly went for it the moment he was choking them out? ...Cause that wasn't much of a fight. O_O

Gunn is a pretty hardcore fighter during the show if I can recall.

We know he killed a dozen or more vampires in a small space (although he was mortally wounded doing so), but it was offscreen. Still, it necessitates a lot of skill, since he's not superhuman. Puts him above pretty much any other normal human in the setting.

Not...really. Pretty much everyone up to including the likes of Xander have been able to kill regular vampires. Killing a lot of them is not all that impressive as soon as you have an actual weapon to do it with. (I mean, it takes skill, but nothing to really boast about.)
I'd consider things like, for example, Holtz standing in the middle of a W&H Team who are pointing machine guns at him and then killing them all without even getting wounded to be a lot more impressive.
Or, if you count him as a normal human, the same episode has Lindsey walking into a demon bar and murdering everyone there with a sword and getting out completely unharmed. (I mean, he had Lorne for backup, but even Lorne said that he didn't really do anything.)


Anyway, as for the fight, Gunn should have no real problem messing with Bane's pumps and taking him out that way.

Show me where Xander or anyone without super powers killed over a dozen by himself in pointedly close quarters. Even Riley was using explosives to take down a small group.

The normal humans generally have trouble with even one or two. Excepting the last episode of season 7, which is unclear as to how many anyone killed, and we already know the ubervamps got ridiculously downgraded to the point of being below even normal vamps in terms of effectiveness.

Taking out large numbers with only stakes (Gunn threw his axe early in the fight to take out the real target) is usually something reserved for Buffy.

Bane in B&R was a nameless victim morphed by Poison Ivy. A dumb arse brick to be noted.

All you got to do is deal with the tubes for a win.
