Amazing Spider-man reboot next?

Anyone here think marvel is gonna do what they did with an all new x-men book followed by a reboot of the original, with superior followed by a new amazing spider-man? Seems like a shady gimmick, with people believing they're buying into a new book thinking it is gonna be the new flagship and then bringing the original back sometime after...thoughts?

All this reboot is just a waste of time. They tried that with Ultimate Spider-Man before they killed him off. They might as well kill Peter Parker off and make him look like Zombie Spider-Man(Earth-2149): All burned up on the outside with decaying flesh like his Zombie counterpart.

Of course they're eventually going to bring back Amazing Spider-Man. This is why I can't understand all of the hate for the new Superior title by guys with thousands of posts. They especially are the ones that should realize that whatever changes are coming, are not going to be permanent, and that Peter Parker will be Spider-Man again in the Amazing title within a year.

It's possible, and perhaps even probable, that when ASM returns that Superior continues on much as FF and Fantastic Four did. And that would of course expand the Spider-Verse to yet another title assuming Scarlet Spider and Venom continue (along with Ultimate of course). I would say it all depends on how well this new Spidey is received and, more importantly, how different he will be not just from Peter but from Scarlet Spider as well.

I would hope they don't add yet another Spider- book to the line. They already have edgy and dark between Kaine and Venom. Yet another aggressive Spider-man brings little to the table especially if the original is back in play.

I do think a Web of Spider-man book focusing on the supporting characters could be good though, which would be more inline with Fantastic Four and FF.

My guess is that the Superior title would continue with the new lead with a possibly modified title, while Amazing Spider-Man would have Peter Parker.

Well we have black spider-kid (ultimate)
soldier symbiote spiderman (venom)
killer spiderman seeking redemption (scarlet spider)
and all the other spiderman titles that will still be featuring Peter Parker set before Superior Spider-Man

I hope its Miguel O'Hara so we can add (future spiderman) to this list


Its stupid how many people are raging and think this will be forever and not just a couple months kind of thing. Comic book geeks deserve the reputation they get it seems. D:
