Good thread. For me, in no order:

    Spectre: John Ostrander run
    Suicide Squad: John Ostrander
JLI/JLA/JLE: The years of Giffen plots with DeMatteis/Jones dialoguing so until the end of Breakdowns
Legion of Superheroes, Levitz run, from Great Darkness sage to the end with Magic Wars
Legion of Superheroes V.4(post-Five Year Gap): Giffen but until the end of the Bierbaums run with issue #50 (polarizing run, but I felt it was brilliant. With the above, that's quite a streak)
Hawk & Dove: Karl & Barbara Kesel run (not mentioned I don't think, but one of my favorites)
Superman(Action Comics, Superman, Adventures of Superman, & Man of Steel): by Stern, Simonson, Jurgens, and Kesel from about 1990 - 1994. (I count them together since it was so tightly plotted)
JSA: Johns etc run until the final issue of that initial series
New Teen Titans/New Titans: Wolfman years from beginning until around the Lord Chaos storyline where it just seemed to devolve into endless upheaval
All-Star Squadron/Young All-Stars: basically all of Roy Thomas' WWII work, despite his issues with dialogue

So, I am bit biased toward Giffen/Ostrander, but all of the above are eminently re-readable.

A quick check of Google (emphasis mine):

    ALL STAR SUPERMAN #1
    Written by Grant Morrison

Art and cover by Frank Quitely

DC launches the newest addition to its All Star line of comics - where the industry's top creative talents refine the iconic focus of the world's greatest super-heroes. Writer Grant Morrison (JLA, SEVEN SOLDIERS) and artist Frank Quitely (THE AUTHORITY, New X-Men) - the acclaimed team behind JLA: EARTH 2 - are at it once again, this time to strip down the Man of Steel to his timeless, essential elements. The series kicks off with a 12-issue story arc touching on all the classic aspects of the Superman mythology, starting with a daring rescue of a doomed group of helionauts on the surface of the sun. The massive amounts of solar radiation affect Superman in a way no one could possibly anticipate - except Lex Luthor!

The implication there is that it's an ongoing that starts off with a 12 issue storyline.
