Loved the pre 52 JSA, but I am really enjoying Earth 2. One of the best monthly books coming out IMO.

    Earth 2 for me.

Even though I wish the editors had let James Robinson use Hawkman for Earth 2, I'm just glad to see the JSA characters still in existence, even if they are different now and don't call themselves the Justice Society.
My first reaction to seeing the New 52:
    No Adam Strange?

The major history buff in me loved the history of the original team, and nothing can replace that. I loved the inter-generational aspect, and the fact that these characters were directly linked to the beginnings of comics. With some changes, they were basically the same characters who debuted in the later 30s and early 1940s. These new characters are not, they have no ties whatsoever outside of the concepts, and are just another 20-something team. So, I am trying to give E-2 a try and it's not terrible, but much of the magic is lost for me.

Honestly, if they were to somehow have some kind of crossover into pre-Flashpoint earth and a torch of sorts was passed between the old and this new team, I'd be satisfied. So it wouldn't take much, but I am having a hard time getting into it.

The new Earth 2 is dull and boring. The costumes are bad enough but the heroes are pale immitations of previous incarnations. So I'm not a fan of it.

If you are referring to the era of JSA just before New 52 and post John's run then Earth 2 wins by a long shot!

You add an interesting point . . . the pre-Flashpoint JSA had become pretty dreadful. But instead of an apples to oranges comparison, that's like looking at a rotten, worm-filled apples to healthy oranges comparison.

I like the new Earth 2 characters. However I feel like the pacing/ plot is somewhat lacking. Am not feeling the sense of drama to grip me and am considering dropping the book. Scott's art has been good.

I liked the writing of JSA and the art of Justice Society of America my favorite stories were the Extant from JSA & The Kingdom Come story from Justice Society of America but I'm not getting into the new 52 except for Batgirl.Aquaman, and Worlds' Finest.
    Two things:
    1) Bring back Connor Hawke
2)Freddie Freeman,Mary & Billy Batson are the Captain Marvel Family not SHAZAM

I'm hoping for & praying that Multiversity does just that.
To paint comic books as childish and illiterate is lazy. A lot of comic books are very literate - unlike most films.
In an alternate universe my parents are Johnny Cash & Lita Ford.
