Default what's on your pull list?

i'm new to CBR and hoping to expand my horizons. what books do you find yourself anxiously-awaiting each month? doesn't have to be indie but i tend to gravitate towards these titles. my current pulls: the creep, thief of thieves, manhattan projects, fatale, secret. these are all quite obvious though so help a brotha' out... what's hot?!

Anything from VALIANT. They have been killing it and all 5 titles are in their 1st or 2nd arc, with the first trades starting this month. Harbinger is my favorite, but they are all very good.

Also try Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt, The Shadow and The Spider at Dynamite, Hypernaturals at Boom! and the new Comics Greatest World revivals at Dark Horse (Ghost, X, etc).

The only book at Marvel I am excited about right now is Hawkeye, which is top notch, though there are a few NOW titles that have peaked my interest like Young Avengers, FF and Fearless Defenders.
VALIANT, Saga, Chew, Manhattan Projects, Revival, East of West, Locke & Key, Hawkeye, Young Avengers.

I'm basically a DC guy, but have decided to venture into some of the Buffy the Vampire-related books from Dark Horse.

The new Stumptown series, which I think is already halfway over, might be your cup of tea.

I am a Marvel guy who is sick of reboots, I was a monthly buyer now I am wrapping up a few arcs then it will be strictly trade waiting for new Marvel NOW and I'm going to be a hell of a lot more discerning with what I buy. The only exception to this is the new Hawkeye series which is great, I will stay monthly for that.

As for VALIANT I am all in for whatever I can get whenever I can get it, these books rock and have renewed my excitement about collecting comics.

The XO trade is out in December and is only $10, you can't go wrong. Good story with really nice Cary Nord art.

    Of the non-big 2 I've been reading:

    Green Hornet

    the Shadow

    the Spider

    Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt

the Lone Ranger (which has been excellent)

Ghost (from Dark Horse) ... soon to be followed by "X"

the Rocketeer minis from IDW (which have been varyingly good -- the first anthology series was tremendous, but there's been diminishing returns since then)

    Extermination

All the Atlas books (Grim Ghost, Wulf, Phoenix), which unfortunately seem to be on hiatus now

War of the Independents (which has been insane with the number of characters, but prompted me to do a bunch of research on them, and opened the door to discovering a lot of indy work)

I pull about 40 books a month, but these are my favorites. Note that there are plenty of good comics coming from the big two, but I gave preference to indies for this list. Also some of these I'm picking up in trade because they're just so gosh darned affordable.

    Revival
    Daredevil
    Dial H
    Fatale
    Uncanny X-Force
    Harbinger
    Wonder Woman
    Bloodshot
    The Hypernaturals
    Hawkeye
    Ghost
    Rocketeer: Cargo of Doom
    Happy!
    Mind the Gap
    Archer & Armstrong

This is my current list of stuff I get off of Comixology right now, except the Dark Horse which comes off of their crappy app. I am fairly current on the DC books. I try to get them as they come out. I get the others sometimes current but sometimes after the price drops, especially the $3.99 titles. For those I watch for sales a lot. The Goon and Chew I trade wait because they are my favorites and will get the trade anyway. I also will buy some limited series as they come up. While I rarely pick up any new DC, I am always looking for new interesting independent stuff. Most of those I get off of Comixology sales then, if I like them, I buy a bunch and get current.

    DC:

    Batgirl
    Nightwing
    Aquaman
    The Dark Knight
    Detective Comics
    Wonder Woman
    Batwoman
    Talon
    Justice League Dark
    Animal Man
    Swamp Thing
    Demon Knights
    Sword of Sorcery
    Supergirl
    Earth 2

    IDW :

    30 Days of Night
    Locke and Key

    Image:

    Alpha Girl
    Artifacts
    Witchblade
    Fatale
    Haunt
    Manhattan Project
    No Place Like Home
    Revival
    Shinku
    The Sixth Gun
    Storm Dogs
    Chew

    Dynamite:

    Dark Shadows
    Vampirella

    Oni:

    Wasteland

    Dark Horse
    BPRD
    The Goon
Current Favorites: The Goon, Batgirl, Chew, Alex + Ada,The Sixth Gun, Saga, Diskordia, Think Tank, Archie, Rachel Rising, Red Sonja, X, Wonder Woman, Powerpuff Girls, Ms. Marvel
