There's a reason books are going to Image and not Vertigo. Vertigo passed on Chew, remember? It seems to me Vertigo is less likely to take chances these days and even when they do the book dies within two years.

Damn, this is annoying. I'm just now trying to get back into comics and Vertigo isn't publishing any new ongoings! I just picked up all the issues of Saucer Country to get into that title, but now there's no new titles to get me interested in. Any suggestions guys?

Try Scalped. It ended a few months ago and the last trade came out last week. Best new ongoing in the past 6 years (besides Milligan's Hellblazer).

Look to Image. So many good books are coming from there right now and they're the biggest company spearheading the creator-rights movement.

Yeah the New 52 has been a death knell for Vertigo, and not to mention the media rights contracts with the formation of DC Entertainment making Image preferable.

We'll be getting Snyder and Lemire books, two Jason Aaron projects, and Before Sandman to give it a shot in the arm. But might not be enough.

....all of which are miniseries.

Also, what's happened to Collider?
