I agree with you, MGS3 is one of my top 5 favourite games, up there with Spider-Man 2, GTA: San Andreas, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Pokemon Gold/Silver.

It was a different era. We're so used to films cutting faster and never settling down.

Which is why I applaud inglorious bastards for having a 20 minute scene in a bar and it kept the tension up. No really, throughout the scene, I was thinking, "This would never happen in any other film nowadays"
