I totally agree with this. And, actually, I thought it was really interesting how Magneto said Scott reminded him of his father in the Prelude to Schism mini. I mean that whole mini was terrible, but I thought it added an interesting dynamic to their relationship when Magneto, the older man, said he viewed Scott as the father figure.

then wouldn't he have two bad uncles? Apocalypse did use his body at one point; permanently altering his personality.

was it really a compliment? Magneto's father basically told them all to not fight back; before they were sent to the camps. he took after his uncle Erich.

These are Scott’s closest allies right now. The argument that I see online right now is that Scott is just like Magneto now, but Scott doesn’t think that he’s like Magneto at all. He thinks keeping Magneto with him keeps them both honest. Fighting against Magneto didn’t work, but this is kind of working. Subconsciously, I think Scott likes having a tough father around. I think he likes having a guy to tell him how it is. In ALL-NEW X-MEN, Magneto told him “Listen, your crazy is you. You have to take responsibility for how crazy you are. It’s no one else, it’s you.” That’s a pretty tough father thing to say. Even though Magneto’s not his father, he’s a father figure. If you really look at the psychology of Scott and all the stuff with his family and Xavier, he’s kind of always had a father figure around. He’s always had someone around to be tough on him.

It's a nice introspection on cyke and what he thinks and feels. At least that's how I understood the interview.

Scott really could've used more mothering. Maybe then he wouldn't have turned out to be such a dirtbag piece of shit.
