Maybe this thread is a little sexist after all, as some of the questions are a little off and only look at Cyclops being manipulated by women and not by men. The omission of Sinister and Professor X is a bit much, especially considering Scott's justifiable anger and resentment over their manipulations in-story.
Also, I am not sure if Madelyne really belongs here, as she was herself manipulated all the time, by Sinister, the Phoenix Force, Gateway (who oddly was never held accountable for his actions) and of course N'Astirh. And I think Scott really no longer was in a grieving phase for Jean by the time he met Madelyne - after all, he had been involved with Lee Forrester for quite a while already, the effect on Scott of unexpectedly meeting a doppelganger of Jean probably would have been the same had it happened a year or two later.
One reason why I didn't vote is because you have to choose one person in the poll, and I think Emma and Jean are both culpable in the NXM storyline that is a gender-bent riff on Avengers #200.
By the way, Cyclopsj316, while I echo your sentiments about him, Stan Lee insists that Spider-Man is spelled with a hyphen.
