How do I receive notifications when I had been replied to in a thread?

Hey guys, newbie here, had a few replies on some threads, but never actually received any notification either through this site or through my email, is there a way of changing my settings or something to change this? Thanks in advance.

Go to the thread you want to subscribe.

While in the thread, click on Thread tools which is near the top of the thread.

A menu will appear with options. Scroll to and click on Subscribe to this thread.

This will take you to a page with options. Go to the option Notification Type.

This will give you choices of where and how often the updates are sent.

The default is to your forum profile, but you can choose your email linked to your account at various times.
