They can say bad thing about you but you must never say bad things about yourself
I like the character and concept, but the art is so bad it takes me right out of the story, I'm not sure how much longer I can deal with that.
I'm enjoying this book quite a bit. Good take on the character, and I personally like the art. Reminds me a bit of Mandrake's work on the Spectre: gritty and moody, as befitting a book with a mystical/horror vibe.
I'm really interested in the Spectre - Stranger dynamic that should be going on in future issues. Re: the art, I don't mind it. Not my style exactly, but I can get over it. My main quarrell is the coloring. Seems too...dark (god, I really didn't want to say "dark", but my vocabulary is so limited!)
As much as I enjoy this book, it is on the chopping block when I'll be making cuts to my pull list soon.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

I suppose so. Ultimately, it just gives me this glum feeling inside. I don't mind dark, overly shadowed stuff as long as it's properly used. But it's like Phantom Stranger has this dark atmospheric feel even during its daytime scenes.
come to think of it, I think it may be the over-"embellishing" by Tan...
