Ed Brubaker is the best at the moment in Image. Maybe fans here dont see Fatale as original Image works and see Brubaker as Marvel guy. Or they are just Image fans who avoid Marvel and dont know his works. Rest of my top 5:

Ray Kirkman - sure other TWD he isnt as consistent but still The Walking Dead is The Walking Dead
Brian K Vaughn - havent read Saga yet but he is great with The Runaways, Y The Last Man etc
Joe Casey - Wildcats 3.0!
Jay Faeber - Near Death

Have you read the Fatale threads here? If so, then you'd know he's loved here.

Then again, just because people don't list him as their top five does not devalue him or his works. It just seems others have different favorites than you.

Did i say that? I said maybe people see him as Marvel writer. I know Fatale has many fans in these forums. Of course there are different opinions on favs that work at the moment for Image. People can rate others highly for all they want, doesnt devalue his works at all to me. Its about taste, what people read.

How can people not see it as an Image original? It's being published by Image, it have the Image logo, Brubaker was part of Imagecon. What more proof does someone need?

Well, reason I asked in the first place is because Marvel and DC has lost alot of the appeal to me. Yes, there is a handful I like and thats about all my son knows. For me though I find that the stuff coming out under the Image brand much more appealing. I know alot of guys at Image has and very possibly could again work for one of the "Big 2", if that writer does I might try to get onboard with it. I mean Im constantly searching ebay for old McFarlane work. If I find writers I enjoy as much as McFarlane then it opens up another can of worms for me.

Also Im sure Dark Horse, IDW and other idependents have just as good books. For the time being Im enjoying what Ive found(with help from everyone here) coming from Image to be where my money is headed.

Because i answered that remark to the poster before me who was surprised no one had voted in Brubaker before him.

It was a wild guess silly answer you made a big thing out of nothing. Cant i make a silly remark that doesnt have be totally serious and debate who works for which company now.....

Ed Brubaker for me, but Vaughn and Hickman are not far behind (even though I do not like their particular books, there's no denying they are firing on most if not all cylinders.)
