    Default Tobi Vs Aizen

Who was the bigger troll/monster towards their enemies/manipulation playthings.

Tobi with Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakkashi

    or

Aizen with Hinamori, Toshiro, and Hirako.

Both sit down and talk what happens?

Tobi took advantage of Sasuke's unbalanced mental state, disagrees with Naruto and doesn't care about Kakashi.

Aizen went out of his way to toy with Hinamori by pretending to be nice, then stabbed her, then mocked Hitsugaya went he complained about it, then arranged for her best friend to stab her again while using her as a human shield.

One of these is being practical. The other is being a dick.

I haven't really watched/read Bleach much after the SS arc, but Aizen was also particularly douchey when he began his final fight against Final GT Ichigo

Ichigo : *does something bad ass*
Aizen : Wow, you've gotten better. But look at my power! I'm better than even I thought possible!

    Pretentious little bastard..

I'm also going to have to go with Aizen on this one. I mean Tobi is even given a sympathetic backstory and misguided ideals, Aizen is just a dick who likes being a dick.

I don't read Bleach, and I'M well aware of what a troll douche monster Aizen is. That tells you how outclassed Tobi is in this situation.

IS there an explanation as to why Aizen is such a bastard? I am not all that keen with Bleach.

And on that note, what was Tobi's backstory? I know he is Obito and he was the guy who gave Kakashi his Sharingan, but why did he become... well, Tobi?

    Siriel's post has it right.

    Aizen is a dick.

    He's a smug bastard.

If you really want something that makes more sense though:

The guy wanted to find someone on the same level as him. He was, in a word, lonely. However, I really do believe that regardless of how lonely he felt due to his power it was his nature to seek growth, which would further isolate him.

So perhaps he is like that because he is annoyed at how weak others are. The people who look up to him. The people who fear him. All of them are inferior and because of that, in a childish way, deserving of his scorn.

tl;dr: Maybe, just maybe, "I hate you because you aren't remotely as badass as I am."

And on that note, what was Tobi's backstory? I know he is Obito and he was the guy who gave Kakashi his Sharingan, but why did he become... well, Tobi?
    Okay so heavy spoilers

    spoilers:
He managed to survive the cave in, partly due to his phasing ability, partly due to Madara treated his wounds by giving him Zetsu parts.

Despite having lost half of his body and getting a speech by Madara of why the world sucks, he is still determined to go back to Konoha 'cause he is badass.

Long rehab period. Becomes friends with the Zetsu.

Zetsu tells Obito that Kakashi and Rin are in danger. Obito goes to rescue them with the help of one of the Original Zetsu.

Obito arrives to find Rin being Chidori'ed by Kakashi.

Kakashi faints. Rin dies. Enemy ninja surround them.

Obito loses it and I mean loses it. What follows is one of the bloodiest, if not the bloodiest, fights in the manga. And by fight I mean one sided slaughter.

Obito decides to go with Madara's plan, because he has given up on such a screwed up world.
    end of spoilers

Oh, okay. So, yeah. Basically, Aizen is a dick for the sake of being a dick. Nothing really justified.

I don't agree with Tobi's motive, but at least it's something not arrogant.

Aizen. It was the whole 'bookworm, nice guy' thing.
Tobi was a good boy, but he was still Akatsuki and wore a mask.

Yeah, Aizen does pretty well on this. I mean when he faked his death, you really thought he bit the big one for a while until the reveal...Cause damn, was he such a bastard in the reveal.

Tobi was a bumbling fool...But really, being part of an antagonistic group filled with some deadly ninjas made me suggest otherwise.

I counter any of Captain Aizen's goofieness with Tobi's OLE' when he dodged Sakura.

Aizen was always captain level, in any flashback we saw he was always handily controlling situations before coming out as a bad guy so from the get go we knew he was at least capable.

Why he keeps picking up ridiculous arguments and then try to defend them, I will never know.
