Speaking of returning original cast members, according to the UK tabloid the express, they claim an insider has told them:

I don't hold a tabloid "insider" as legit proof.

So Ford wants to come back just so he can die onscreen? Wow they are determined to undermine the original trilogy, the prequels weren't horrible enough.

No, Ford wanted Han to die in "Return Of The Jedi". He felt that his story was done in TESB and felt that the best way to go, was to have Han make a sacrifice. Lucas had initially considered the idea, but then dismissed it as he didn't want Han to die. Lucas briefly considered Lando, but then dropped it. It's not about undermining the OT, since this is just going on ahead. Even in the EU, there has been many stories told about the characters after ROTJ.

And, to be honest, the original planned death for Han in ROTJ was pretty dumb.

Who wouldn't want to see Carrie Fisher back in the slave girl outfit?

Have you seen Carrie Fischer lately? Uhm... It would be a little like having Rosanne Barr in the Slave Girl Metal Bikini. No thank you.

If it was a Kyle Katarn / Mara jade focused style great old grand romp on a planet or two having to reclaim some jedi relic while battling Imperial Remnants with Luke, Wedge, Lando, and Chewie on a side story then I'd watch. Make it realistically force heavy, lots of action, throw in a space battle, Leia dead and Han and Talon battling against a evil smuggler ring I'd watch it at least twice. No robots though, I'm so tired of them, unless it was R5-D4 (and ig-88), those droids needs movie time imo. No teens, no kids, no jar jar, no reference to the last 3 films, and I'd watch 3 times probably.

Han I'd toss up though just because I always liked the Lando/Chewie chemistry far better. I wouldn't lose sleep if Han isn't around, or force kids. But I hope there is very little cgi, I hate a lot of cgi. Used sparingly and parsed within good modeling and sets I'd be happy though. That's if it was a single live action movie, being that they want to make money and make 3-6+ more movies I don't care one bit what they do, they can go the teen beat hip karate force-fu bubblegummy route, I can just ignore it, but if they went that route I certainly wouldn't be against having it fully animated like the most recent games.
