I don't care how fast a piece of chalk is moving, if it hits a brick wall it should be reduced to dust. Flash should not even be able to tickle a superman level opponent with flesh and blood hands it never made sense. Vibrating/selectively controlling molecules has nothing to do with speed and should have been scrapped along with captain colds polar bears and diggers space boomerangs.
In all fairness, during the Wally West run (can't say about the Barry Allen stuff more recently) he regularly broke bones fighting enemies but healed a lot more quickly thanks to his abilities. As for the vibrating through objects, that's a matter of opinion really. It's certainly no more ridiculous than a severe allergic reaction to a green space rock. In a universe full of ridiculous powers I don't see why it's that one which stands out as being more silly than the rest.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others.

the answer to that is this "Good limits create a scenarios where bad writers can about write character and they never screw up".
Could that statement be any more negative as far as any creative process goes? Essentially you're saying lets limit what good writers can actually do with a character just so when a bad writer comes along he (much like the good writer) has to write within such strict guidelines that he can't possibly do anything original or unexpected that plays too far in to the ridiculous. I'd rather have the odd stinker if it means giving writers the opportunities to be creative with books they work on.

Superman too strong? Why do you need to lift or move a planet? After you that who can realistic beat you other than another planet mover?
Batman too smart? Yes but this most acceptable one

Yes he can be challenged but Superman,Darkseid,Martian Manhunter are not the people he is fighting monthly,He is fighting Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold,Mob Rule and Heatwave.People who can't react to that level of speed and don't ability to take a couple punches

The current Flash is doing a good job of staying under control some what they are alot of question mark who the hell are they able to hit flash moments
Dude, you won't get it. The problem is that you are taking marvel dynamics which has major limits on their powers, and applying that to dc characters. The big enjoyment
of DC is the fact that these characters are so strong, so fast, so smart, it's what makes them different from marvel based characters. Another thing is that not all characters will interest everyone. I'm not a fan of street level characters, so you won't see me go to a batman forum saying batman needs to get powers, because he's
meant to appease individuals that like street level characters. The same applies here, many who enjoy superman or flash is because he's super strong or super fast.
If that doesn't appease your taste than it just mean the characters aren't meant for you.
