That is an oddly adorable baby.

Pretty cool cover, not one of the best but awesome nonetheless. I often find that the ones I don't like all that much look much better once they have the title on them and all the other stuff that goes on a cover. I think Chiang really puts a lot of thought into how final cover will look rather than just drawing a pretty picture and letting someone else worry about the placement of the title and the writing/artist credits.

Nice layout. Something odd about the perspective. Her head is further forward but looks too small compared to her upper body.
You're right! They're red too!! Plus notice that one of her boots is not boat-sized, and the other one is!

I don't think there is something wrong with his eyes; I think it is just the intense light that is being reflected in his big baby-eyes.

    Perspective.

Well, Hermes and Demeter did have the child for a while, they could have done something to him.

I'll even get this if Zola's baby gets to pull a Jack-Jack.
Superhero comic books only become art to the extent that their banal, unrealistic fantasy and garish styles go too far and become interesting. Attempts to ground them in reality can only ruin them.

And some of Zeus' other children have similar eyes.

They could, yes. But Zeus had blazing eyes and Diana had them as well when she went into God-mode, so if they have done something, the eyes are probably not it.

But I doubt that Diana had those eyes when she was a baby, otherwise the whole clay story wouldn't have worked.

although her shorts do seem to reflect the red color-- there is the darker lowlight and then the reflection of red, while her boots are just red, with no highlight or lowlight.....hmmmmmm

    *wishful thinking* lol
