So let's break down Batman's new code
-He has no problem killing animals
-He has no problem letting people die(yet to be tested against the Joker)
-He can't physically kill someone
-no guns
Anymore guidelines that the New 52 has established

I think the latter is referring to Nobody's Death in Batman and Robin.
I don't think Batman has ever had a problem killing animals if need be, has he? I mean, he's not a sociopath or anything but if a tiger is attacking him or something...
I'm pretty sure Batman has never been written as a vegetarian, so the killing animals-part is kind of moot. If you can support an industry that systematically kills animals for you to eat, then you might as well kill them yourself. As for the letting people die-part, didn't Robin kill Nobody before Batman could react?
Yes I know but I got the impression that the OP was referring to events in the new 52 series.
There's also the example of Deacon Blackfire.
By the way, if now Batman accepts kiling in self-defence, that's good. I'm referring to Damian killing Dr. Dedalus. Batman is my favorite character, but he has to grow up already and accept that sometimes (like Damian said) there's nothing else you can do.
No problem makes him sound like he's gutting dogs as a hobby. I'm sure he has a problem with casually or purposelessly killing animals. I doubt he's crying for the cockroaches when Alfred fumigates, though.
The number of times Batman has saved someone from dying make this a lie. Would he ever just let someone die? Remains, always, to be seen, but it's not his standard MO, and it's certainly not that he has "no problem" doing it.
More won't, then can't, I'd say.
Except when necessary, as I doubt every instance of him using a gun before is now out of continuity.
Seems pretty standard now or maybe the Dark Knight is just that type of book.

I legitimately can't tell what happened in that sequence.

Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.
Yeah, that scene was written by a hack. Our real Batman would have tackled the guy before it could happen.
That said, I seem to recall Bruce killing some dogs in Dark Knight/Dark City in relation to some kind of ritual he was doing.
Agree! BUT...that's sort of how he feels anyway. He knows sometimes there's no choice, which is why he's trained himself to such an insane level, to make sure he really does everything HE personally can do (more than your average guy) before having to resort to lethal methods.
