I know its a nitpick and that Adams will be a brilliant Lois....but yeah, I wish she was rocking a look more like Elizabeth Banks in the Raimi Spider-Man movies.

Lois just seems quintessentially brunette to me....and I would even buy that if Lois were a naturally a lighter hair color, she might dye it dark in order to be taken "more seriously" as a journalist (ala Ashleigh Banfield when she went to Pakistan).

She's not how I've ever pictured Lois, but I expect her to change that within moments of being onscreen ala Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle.

    I never noticed a Marsden/Janssen issue.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...

It wasn't horrific by any stretch of the imagination, but there was a clear gap in age.

Not that it should matter at all really.

She's so sexy. My mouth waters for Amy Adams. Her performance in "Trouble With The Curve" was very exceptional. This cast is MINDBLOWING.

It was a perfect choice for the character.
Hell, the entire movie has a damn good cast... Lawrence Fishburne, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, and Kevin Costner? That is a dream team right there.

Always thought of Lois being brunette myself.
IMHO dark blonde works well too.
Noel Neill in the early 50's Superman series had red hair.
Maybe Lois is naturally brunette in the movie and has died her hair blonde?
Women always change their hair color. LOL

I've seen Amy Adams in things, and I like her, but except for The Muppets, I'm having difficulty remembering any of them. I feel like I remember her more than whatever picture she's in, which can't be a bad thing, overshadowing the rest of your movie. Like, I've seen Charlie Wilson's War but didn't remember she was in it. Ditto a few other things. A That 70's Show episode, and so on. I have a pretty good picture of her and not the roles themselves, but anyway, when I saw the Lois casting a while back I felt like it was pretty well chosen.

It's fascinating and hilariously noteworthy that she was on Smallville.

As for her hair, while Lois is a quintessential brunette for me, too, I think what is 'quintessentially Lois' is actually more about 'how' she wears her hair, and what her wardrobe looks like. And that new B&W snapshot is just right on the money. I mean, this is the new film translation and there are weirder things to nitpick! Perry White is black and Jimmy Olsen is a girl! The change in aesthetics is no big deal - this is an adaptation. It cares more about acting ability than purist source material aesthetics, or for the sake of change and modernity was at least willing to make a few alterations (not sacrifices, just alterations) in that way.

I always think, if something is good enough for great actors to be selected over purism, it has truly transcended into literary history - like how you can do all kinds of re-jiggering of aesthetics for Shakespearean plays and they're still fantastic. Which reminds me, I'm really excited to see Fishburne play a nice, pedestrian role. Cyber-sages and noir detectives and gangsters and Moorish generals and god knows whatever else are cool, but Perry White is so normal and his voice is so ... not a dramatic "narrator" voice.
