Yeah. I looked at it and did a quick Google check. I thought the acid would combust but only some acids are flammable.

I liked the narration, until those last two: there's nothing in this mixture but death.
stuff like that is always a little too heavy handed for me. but the rest was enjoyable.

I'm pretty sure no other hero will be killed/seriously injured in this event. It would be bad business wise, all of the characters basically have their own title which are selling strong, but there's no 'Alfred' book that would have to be cancelled if he was killed off. I still doubt he'll die though.
