My enthusiasm for a female lead is sorely tempered by the fact she's Wagnerian. Disgustingly so.

Bunn has been doin some great work, lovin' Venom strong, and has managed to keep that series afloat, so I have real high hopes for this series, and lovin' the cast so far! So very in for this, a pleasant surprise title indeed!!!
Bring back my DC! In the meantime, make mine Marvel and Image!

There really was no need for a Thor Girl book, considering we already have a solo with another Thor Girl. Moonstar should've headlined.

Valkyrie's more suited to headlining "Triumph of the Will".

Agreed. There's also something of a doubling up with Valkyrie and Dani being a valkyrie is there not?

Yeah, Dani will just look bad compared to a "legit" Valkyrie. I think Marvel is just hoping that people are so stupid that because they like Thor they'll also like Thor with tits.

And on a sidenote, if you're going to start making all-female teams wouldn't the blatantly obvious choice be an X-Women book?? This makes about as much sense as finally doing female solos but starting with Red She-Hulk and Sif. You have to start at the top before you go to the lesser known ones. DC is giving some D-lister Katana a book, but oinly after their popular female characters got their proper representation.

A katana solo? Great, readers of both sexes enjoy overly masculine women with no personality. It seems like they would get a clue and start featuring the actually popular characters that don't conform to that archetype instead of endless retreads of she-hulk.

Not really. Dani's connection to Hela and the Valkyrie / Valkryior / Asgard stuff gives her a hook into a wider world, but also allows the team to look at Mutant stuff later.

It looks like most of the New Mutants are finally moving on to bigger and better things. I would like to see Magma show up in another book.
