He shouldn't if he wants to end, but if he's got more stories I'm enjoying his take.

Whenever people complained about the DC version of the Vertigo characters appearing I always responded with "It doesn't matter. This has no bearing on the Vertigo stuff. It changes nothing."

    Not so much.

DC has really blown it here. Stupid. Pure stupidity on their part.

I'm def giving this a wait and see. And if I enjoy it enough, I might be tempted to get those Hellblazer back issues. And I know everyone is screaming foul, but it's not like DC is putting Bendis on this book.

For all my disappointment and hand wringing, I will of course give this series a shot. It's a more promising creative team than the last two books announced, and one hopes that it comes from the strength of Venditti's work on Demon Knights.

    Hellblazer: -10.000 sales
    JLD: +33.000 sales

This isn't the strange move, the strange move was that Constantine wasn't part of New52 in September 2011...

It's a logical move business wise, just terrible in any other (creative) sense. We now lose all the history and supporting characters built up over the course of 300 issues of Hellblazer. Obviously it was an expected decision to make. But still.

I'm honestly fine with a streamlined Constantine. I've enjoyed each story and each run for what it is, but each writer gives us a Constantine filtered through themselves anyway.

I'm more pessimistic about the move from Milligan to Venditti, and of course the lack of authorial control that comes with being a DC book. Part of me thinks Venditti is getting such a push because he's amiable to work with.

I'm sorry for the Hellblazer fans who will miss the book. Constantine is easily my favorite character in Justice League Dark, so giving him a solo sounds good to me.

However, this is launching in March, not February. I guess that means the last debut of February has yet to be revealed, and we'll be seeing one more book get cancelled.

As with Swamp Thing... I have zero interest in this character if he's in the DCU. Oh well. :(
No one responds to street art anymore.
People tend to respond to things like loaded guns in their faces.

    That and celebrity spokesmodels.

I've not noticed that at all.

I hope we get Zatanna as a supporting character. Their dynamic over in JLD is easily one of my favorite parts of the book.

That would include Moore's run. They only moved out of the DCU in 93.
