Default X-Factor #246 - Spoilers and Review. Ish.

.A2: "It warmed my heart and then ripped it to shreds."

It goes a little something like this...

    • Ugh, Pip.
    • Hah, Pip!
    • Hee, Pip.
    • Ooh, Pip.
    • Nice, Pip.
    • Go, Pip!
    • Wait, Pip.
    • No, Pip!
    • PIP!
    • Omg, Pip.

I didn't much care of OMG, Pip. I would like confirmation that d@noon wasn't assassinated in RL though.

I didn't know Pip had a past outside of X Factor

I never cared much for Pip. I was really more interested in who's plotting X-factor's fall than Pip's cold body staining the sidewalk tbh.

I was expecting not to like this issue at all, but in the end I really enjoyed it. It was a really sweet done-in-one that awakened feelings in me I was never aware of, and then proceeded to trample all over them. I haven't been the biggest fan of Davidson's more recent work on X-Factor (I felt that his backgrounds were too empty in the Havok and Banshee against the Morrigan arc) but his art fit very nicely here. His Pip is excellent. I absolutely loved the panel with the whole cast too. It's the kind of thing we don't see often enough. (Except in New Mutants. Those kids always take photos together).

He used to be the own of an Infinity gem and has helped save the MU from cosmic level threats more than once.http://marvel.wikia.com/Pip_Gofern_(Earth-616)

I was shocked big time at the "omg pip" moment. Not what I was expecting at all, good job PAD. I wonder if the "X-Factor will fall" people are part of the coming Hell Lords arc or if its setting up for some future arc.

This issue reminded me a little bit of WatXM #17. Instead of Doop put Pip and you have pretty similar story. I didn't care for Pip, but what happened at the end makes an interesting turn for future of X-Factor.

OMGPip was the only part I liked. The rest felt a retread of Aaron's Doop issue, only bad.

We need to get back to Popo, Layla and Monet out-Claremazoning each other.
