Stop the madness! No fighting!
What says “comic book” more than politics? Oh…those two don’t go together? Well, Deadpool begs to differ. This issue introduces a world where Republicans and Democrats can’t get along, progress is stilted and some magic nitwits think the best way to bring the country together is to bring back the undead presidents. So you know, pretty much how reality is today save for the presidents. Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D. can’t be having Captain America beating up presidents. Think of the media outcry! Who do you think could possibly kill these presidents, have no shame in getting his hands dirty and clean up this new patriotic mess?
I write comic book reviews every Wednesday using pages from each book. Check it: Is It Good?: All the Best Books of the Day Reviewed!
I love how that agent of shield said that DP is not the hero they want, but the scumbag they need. It was pretty essential to the character, who still wants to be viewed as hero.
EDIT: and nobody is fighting here. really. i leave fighting to comic books and cinema.

And truth be told, it can only be better. Keep in mind that both of the writers are inexperienced in writing comic-books, so it definitely means something for them doing this project.

Witch Doctor resurrects Ghost Harry S. Truman, Captain America beats up Ghost Harry S. Truman, Newspaper shows unflattering headline involving said ghost president, SHIELD wants a solution, Conclusion of a mostly unseen Deadpool/Thor Team up (Thor denies it's a team up), SHIELD shows up and basically offers Deadpool a bunch of money in a burlap sack to take down these Ghost presidents, Issue ends with Deadpool at Camp David (That's what he said, can't remember what the caption said) surrounded by a bunch of Ghost presidents and Abe Lincoln shooting him.
That's the gist of everything that happened in the issue.
Favorite parts:
-Thor's Not a team-up
-Daily Bugle headline
-President Carter
Dpool's reaction to the firefighter was classic gold right there.

The main hook for me, story-wise, is that Deadpool is doing this job because it's a political firestorm waiting to happen. It's interesting commentary when you think about it- the most powerful heroes on Earth stopped cold by the prospect of bad PR. Also, Deadpool, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. anyone?
