Can I have #22?
In this dimension, the Egyptian Princess Scota traveled to the British Isles, fleeing political turmoil in her homelands, her father Akenaten having just been assassinated. With a large contingent of ships and many of her high priests, best warriors and servants, they traveled across the Mediterranean, around Iberian and settled on the British Isle, mingling with the native Picts, with whom they had long since had trading relations for their tin needs in bronze production. All was well for a while, before having to defend against the invading Celts, driven from the European interior by the machinations of En Sabath Nur, also called Apopis, the Destroyer.
Cernunnos, a Celtic god king with whom Scota brokered peace by marriage, was killed by Apopis for betraying his cause, ripping him into pieces and throwing him to the wind. Scota flees into the wild, and using her potent magic in union with a Pictish mage Morian, is able to find enough of the pieces to incarnate her husband physically long enough to take his child.
Her sun, Heru, raised in the wild with Morian, rises up and leads the rebellion against Apopis. He protects his homeland with super strength, flight, nigh-invulnerability, and a empathic connection to the land and all its creatures(animals, plants, stones, magic, etc) and his sword, Apedemak, named for the Lion God who is fated to slay Apopis, bringing the lands into balance and restoring Ma'at.
Heru Scota is in a relationship with the Pictish fey Meg'gan, an empathic elemental metamorph, powerful as he is innocent. Their allies include Anubis(feral metamorph), Ib(with a furnace of diving light in his heart), and the previously mentioned Morian, who is the gaterkeeper of Otherworld in this dimension.
I want to do Storm, whatever number that is....
#70 - Cecilia Reyes
Universe: Earth - Rupture
Powers: the generation of a "psioplasmic bio-field" around her body that grants her resistance to both physical and energy attacks. This field is activated subconsciously whenever she is threatened but can be consciously formed into primitive shapes that she can use as weapons.
Story: This Cecilia Reyes actually originates from the original Earth-616 Universe. In the not too distant future of the 616 Universe, two factions face each other in battle--one led by Scarlett Witch and one led by the Phoenix. It is one of the largest assemblages of mutants in battle the Earth has ever seen--and Cecilia Reyes, an admitted pacifist and skilled surgeon, is one of the combatants. In the throws of the violence, Scarlett Witch and the Phoenix clash. Throwing their powers at one another and locking each other in attack, the energy builds. The sheer size of this energy is astronomical and as it escalates it begins to effect the fabric of time and space. No longer able to contain the force, Universe 616 bulges and rips into a nearby reality, venting the energy--taking the form of a massive explosion. This event will be known as the Rupture.
In this colossal release, nearly half of the mutant soldiers were pulled into Earth-Rupture. Cecilia Reyes is one of these mutants. The universe Earth-Rupture was nearly identical to Earth-616, mutants and all. And for every mutant from 616 that fell into Earth-Rupture, their alternate versions were pushed into Earth 616. Cecilia Reyes was one of very few involved to be spared any physical injury, many were killed and the rest were maimed.
Before Reyes even had time to register the explosion, her powers had kicked in--enveloping her body in a nigh-impenetrable force-field. A wave of radiation swept outwards as the explosion perforated the barriers between Earth 616 and Earth-Rupture. Everyone was exposed to this potent energy, including Reyes. The sheer strength of this radiation pushed Cecilia's powers to their very limit. Tendrils of toxic energy moved between the atoms of her bio-field, but she managed to throw layer upon layer of blockade against it. Some flickers of the radiation made it through and Cecilia Reyes' hair turned a shock of white.
Cecilia Reyes landed on her feet in Earth-Rupture, surrounded by the bodies of the dead and shattered survivors. But she herself had been broken. The trauma of the Rupture, both mental and physical, had caused Cecilia to become unhinged. Her powers would not turn off as she wandered away, disoriented, from the battleground. Reyes stumbled into a hospital (her past profession as a doctor guiding her there) and collapsed. As nurses put her on a gurney, she slipped into a coma. Proper medical procedures were attempted, but thanks to her perpetually activated powers, not even an IV could be administered. So she lay there, passing between hospitals and care facilities, comatose in an effective cocoon of her own power's making.
More than a year passed before she was awakened. She had been one of the first mutants tracked down by an unrecognizable Dr. Nemesis. She was a special case for him, because in order to pull her out of her coma, he had to make it past her bio-field. So he worked on her for months, developing technology meant to penetrate her defenses. And when he finally made it through he was amazed that she was in perfect health. She had undergone a kind of stasis, with no need to eat or drink. She awoke soon after with no memory of the battle or the Rupture save for one fleeting image--her standing in a field full of ash and bodies. At that moment, she decided that her duty lay in protecting and healing her fellow mutants, so that no other person will have to stand where she stood.
Cecilia Reyes serves as member, medic and chief medical doctor of the Earth-Rupture X-Men. She has no desire to return to Earth 616.

hey theX - I really like Earth-Rupture. I wish stupidass AvX ended a little more interesting than that. Would be a much higher impact ending than this Marvel NOW crap. Really nice entries, and I love the story. Would love to hear more (like whats going on in the other side of the split).
and Yoga - again, such a unique style. Really stands out, you really have this saturated color styling thats very cool.
