All NXM needed to do was focus on the more popular characters. It didn't need to become a death fest.
Even now the Xline needs a purely X-kid centric book so that guys like Rockslide and Anole dont become wallpaper.
Hell, Rockslide and Anole have had character development in this book than in WatXM.
Anyway, this is still one series that should not be ending. Because of that, it was just an "okay" issue. X-23's argument has got to be one of the most absurd of all time. She wasn't used as a weapon in the same way. What Finesse did shouldn't be affecting a no-nonsense person like her at all.

Usually start these threads, but couldnt this week.
We got that lovely ending, and to know that half of them are off to the Arena, and the other half to Limbo, I didn't see that there was anything left to say that hadnt already been said.
An excellent series that we've lost too soon......but I'm sure Gillen will give us a decent replacement in YA.

Shame this book went on this long. Had it ended at Fear Itself it would have been more fondly remembered by me at least.
Great final issue. I was very satisfied with it. It provided closure for the characters, as well as a new direction. The stuff with Finesse I particularly liked. I think she's the AA character with the most potential and I hope to see her used well elsewhere. I loved her relationship with Quicksilver and always thought she and Magneto would be an interesting team-up. I'm glad we got some interaction between them in AA #22 I believe.
Here's hoping writers use this characters well in the future. I'll miss Avengers Academy but at least it had a great run and a real conclusion.
