    Default Sin vs Majora's Mask

The quest to each of the temples to gather the Aeons that are necessary for the sacrifice that is required to defeat the final boss monster demon avatar of mankind's sin at the end of Final Fantasy X...

...Or the quest to find a bunch of masks and the constant Groundhogging that is necessary to defeat the evil, possessed titular demon mask at the end of Majora's Mask?

Which would you say was a worse threat?

Sin was just killing a few hundred people there and there.

Majora was going to drop the moon on the planet.

    The answer is obvious.

Weren't they both threats to the world? Sin would probably casually solo Majora unless I'm forgetting something. The sheer size of Sin alone would be hard to overcome.

EDIT: Ok I guess Sin wasn't a threat to the world. He'd still probably beat Majora in an actual fight. I have to say I never beat Majora's Mask..I was really into Ocarina of Time, but couldn't get into Majora's.

Sin could probably depopulate the world if he chose to, but it'd take longer than three days.

Sin showing up in person is a bigger deal than Majora's Mask... But to be fair he's more a magically sustained living siege weapon with a piloting spirit than he is an entity in and of himself.

Majora's a bigger deal than Yevon, though Yevon has a pretty good intelligence/prep feat of working out he could inspire his followers to form a vast prayer battery.(Living Yevon was presumably a summoner/white mage comparable to Yuna, though we don't have any feats.)

That said, Majora was able to engineer an impressive amount of societal chaos within a very short span of time of entering Termina, even excluding the moon thing. He only has a handful of hours before Link shows up to tail him, and the entire country is a mess just from him toying around.

Sin was pulling the Moon towards the planet as well. It also can stop time on a planetary level and there is an entire dimension inside it.

Sin pulled off a similiar feat while charging up his Giga Graviton. Not to mention carving out canyons in the landscape that could be seen from space in the aftermath of said-attack.

You are both missing the point that Sin does not actually do these things when left on it's own, while Majora is actively trying to destroy the world.

...And when did Sin time stop?

Or move the moon, for that matter? The camera merely zooms out until the moon can be seen in the corner of the screen, with a little debris ripped from it's surface.

Sin stopped time near the end of the game when it was charging up it's Giga Graviton.

But you're right that Sin isn't actively trying to destroy the world.

The camera didn't zoom out seeing as the the planet size stays the same while the Moon moves closer.

Nope, go watch it again. The cloud formation gets smaller in frame and you can see progressively more of the world's curvature.

I was only arguing the one point. Not who was a greater overall threat and antagonist.

I'll have to rewatch it. I haven't played the game in awhile.
