    Default ChaZ X

Foreword: The Shadow King has convinced a small group of heroes with a darker side that after the events of AVX Charles Xavier’s Consciousness found it’s way into the body of a previously comatose man named Amahl Farouk. Wishing to distance himself from Mutant Matters following his “death” He instead decided he should focus on helping “troubled” Heroes control their more violent sides and work together covertly. In truth he’ll be using them to his own ends and subtly encouraging their Darker Sides. Thus was Born The Brotherhood of Shadows.

Opening Moves: All Simultaneous unless stated otherwise.

As Soon as He’s Teleported in Shadow King is going to make a grab on The Enchantress’ Psychic “Goodies”. Since her powers are mostly spell based they require some movement, concentration, or recitation, and Shadow King’s Power only require a simple thought, he should be able to win on this quick draw. Also if you doubt Shadow King can control Amora, Karma did it, and he was able to control Karma.
He’ll make her blast Both The Wizard and Super Skrull from behind, mostly just as surprise attack to knock them off their opening moves, then Grab Diablo and jump with him head first down into the canyon between the mountains. While both very well likely will survive, neither should be in any shape to keep fighting, well they soon won’t be. Shadow King will subtly influence Venom to keep him safe while making himself invisible to their opponents. In the event Super Skrull and the Wizard are not taken out by the remaining members of his team, Shadow King will possess Super Skrull and use him to defeat the Wizard, destroying his tech with invisible fields and burning him alive. He’ll then simply command K’Lrt to sleep.

Skaar will leap directly at the Opposing Team’s Mountain, about halfway between them and the bottom and using a combination of the Old Power and his strength, which he’ll also be using the Old Power to enhance, he’ll break the mountain and cause it to crumble beneath the opposing team’s feet if they stay on it, and burying any who are in the valley. He’ll also be sending large chunks of mountain toward any flyers left on the opposing team. Should Diablo use his potions to create an Elemental, Skaar will deal with it, as he can easily handle and Earth Elemental with the Old Power. a Fire Elemental can’t hurt him and can be easily be dispersed by a Thunderclap, as can a Water or Air Version, neither of which can really do too much to Skaar as he doesn’t need to breathe.

Venom Will enter camo mode and draw a bead on the Enchantress with his Multi-Gun in it’s Sniper configuration. Should Shadow King not be able to take control of her, he’ll shoot her through the eye or her mouth, whichever is made the best target. While Asgardian skin may or may not be bullet proof, eyes and the inside of the mouth should be more vulnerable, especially to a high-powered rifle round. After her, he’ll target Diablo, taking a headshot. If Enchantress is taken control of and Deals with Diablo, Flash will target The Wizard, if he has his force shield up, he’ll still take shots to distract him from attacks by his teammates. Same with Super Skrull, if need be. He’ll also be playing defense for Shadow King, even so far as to use himself as a human shield for any blasts aimed at SK, due to Shadow King’s influence. Note: Recently Venom has shown a level of magical resistance due the presence of a demon within him and the Mark of Mephisto. (in Venom #23 he survives mystical fire blasts that would have “stripped the hide off the Juggernaut.” It wasn’t pleasant and still hurt but he got up and beat Hellstorm.)

Cloak Will instantly teleport behind the opposing team and engulf Super Skrull and the Wizard, if he can he’ll also snag up the Enchantress and Diablo, if Shadow King hasn’t already taken care of them. Even if Venom has shot them both he’ll still grab their bodies and dump them all in the valley between the mountains for burial by Skaar. The Side effects of Cloak’s Darkness should keep them immobile briefly before they are crushed/covered by the mountain falling on them.

Post Game: Shadow King will remark to Cloak to get them out of there, as he can sense a great(er) Evil Presence. Cthon! Who will likely devour the souls of their fallen enemies.

    Default Valeria Kementari

Gathered by the Wizard, the universe’s deadliest villains stand together with one goal in common: Revenge! Nothing and no one will stand in their way as they take over the planet. Fear the Four.

    The Frightful Four in
    Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Phase One: You don’t get to move
(*All moves are simultaneous unless otherwise specified*)

Upon arrival on the battlefield Amora the Enchantress will use her magic to create wards against both telepathy and teleportation. The wards will mystically seal our team’s minds and will prevent the other team to use any kind of teleportation.
Diablo will teleport himself above our foes. He will then conjure a massive hurricane over the peak. The hurricane, which has winds strong enough to snuff the Human Torch’s flames, will keep the opposing team in place and prevent them from leaving the peak.

Super-Skrull will make our entire team invisible upon arrival.
Wizard will hover above our team and lookout for any jumping by our foes. If someone jumps Wizard will blast him with his Wonder Gloves while still in mid-air, forcing him to fall either back to the other peak or the valley below.

    Phase Two: Down you go
(*All moves are simultaneous unless otherwise specified*)

Given that my team is currently invisible, and thus undetectable, and the other team is seemingly unable to leave the peak a strong advantage is in our field. Advantage our team will use to the maximum.

Amora will teleport herself next to Skaar, whether he remained on the peak of if he tried to jump and Wizard brought him down. She will instantly turn him into stone, leaving a statue of him, wherever he is.
Wizard and Super-Skrull will play a race with each other, to see who can destroy The Shadow King and Cloak faster. They will get over to the other side at their topmost speeds and will hit the powerless duo with all they have (seeing as they cannot use their telepathy and teleportation they are nothing but sitting ducks).
Diablo will drop a vial in front of Venom and instantly make him explode. If Venom manages to withstand the explosion then they would gang-up on him.

If the Shadow King abandoned his body and hid in the Astral Plane he would have abandoned the battlefield and unable to return once his team is defeated (seeing as he wouldn’t be able to possess any of our team’s closed minds).

Shadow King isn't Karma. And using your logic Charles Xavier defeated Shadow King, and Amora blocked Charles Xavier while laughing.

Not to mention the fact that she's not conjuring, moving her hands, or doing anything to block telepathy in that very scan. Why? Because she has telepathic powers independent of her magic (as evidenced by the Death-Song last week and this very scan).

Also Karma's powers are different than Shadow King's, they are not the same powers and using a character's feat as if it were another's is just silly. And in that scan Karma even says "She's dazed!" and that's why she takes advantage of that dazing. You are trying to enter her mind while she's in top shape and closing her own mind to telepathy. It just simply can't be done.

So sorry, her mind is closed and you can't access it.

Two very excellent and entertaining strategies.
good use of scans as well :p
I'm torn on the matter of Shadow King versus Enchantress... Has there been instances in the comics where demigods like Amora have been shown as vulnerable to high-grade telepathic attacks?

    No. And also:

Again one would have to wonder how people who have no way of having heard of Shadow King are preparing for him...

The Death Song in no way says it's telepathic or psionic in nature at all in the scans you provided last week. Also despite the fact you won last week you still never were able to prove it's something she can do without the intense grief and rage caused by the apparent death of her lover.

Shadow King is using the same power that Karma has, one of his many, but still his favorite. Anyways only being shown to show she can be possessed, even briefly.

Also in the blocking of Xavier, she doesn't do it instantly, she's not standing stock still or restrained or anything so there's no proof she didn't have to move, you don't even see any thing but her face in the last bit. I'm not saying she has to do a whole elaborate thing to use her powers, just that they aren't as fast as telepathy and requires some sort of effort, even if it be a twiddling of fingers or concentration.

There's also no proof she can set her "wards" to only block specific people, allowing Diablo to teleport and not Cloak. If it was she herself teleporting, maybe. Also there could be some room for argument that Cloak's method of transport is not the same as regular teleporting as it involves traveling through dimensions, but I'll leave that one up to the voters.

Also the turning of Skaar into stone... yeah he kind of already does that to himself when he enhances himself with the Old Power, some I'm not sure how effective that would be, as well as the fact that she was required to get close and kiss the Black Knight to do it and Skaar at letting her that close.

Also, and this part is nit picking, admittedly, but has Super-Skrull been shown to make other people invisible? Theoretically sure he probably can but is that something he usually does? he's usually moire out for just protecting himself.

I'm not looking to get into a huge back and forth debate on this, as I'm sure Val is ready and willing to. So I may not argue much, I believe most of my major points have been made. Good Voting!

A telepathic mind-closing is standard when facing unknown foes. Also, Shadow King doesn't know Amora either.

The Death Song in no way says it's telepathic or psionic in nature at all in the scans you provided last week. Also despite the fact you won last week you still never were able to prove it's something she can do without the intense grief and rage caused by the apparent death of her lover.
    Irrelevant for this battle.

Shadow King is using the same power that Karma has, one of his many, but still his favorite. Anyways only being shown to show she can be possessed, even briefly.
The Shadow King isn't Karma. What Karma can do Karma can do, what he can he can do. Also, she was DAZED in that scan (Karma even says so), here she isn't dazed. So by following your own logic she can only be briefly controlled if she's dazed. She's not dazed, so no brief control.

She maintained the contact only to laugh at him and noticed his mind trying to attack her instantly. Once more following your logic since she was able to block Xavier and Xavier is able to defeat SK then she can block/defeat SK. Your logic, not mine.

She's one of the most powerful sorceress there are, of course she can decide who teleports and who can't. There is no proof she can't do it.

Also the turning of Skaar into stone... yeah he kind of already does that to himself when he enhances himself with the Old Power, some I'm not sure how effective that would be, as well as the fact that she was required to get close and kiss the Black Knight to do it and Skaar at letting her that close.
It's a stone statue, lifeless and unmoving, like Black Knight was. And she kissed him and AFTER she turned him into stone, if not it would've been on the same panel (also she says so as she speaks).

Also, and this part is nit picking, admittedly, but has Super-Skrull been shown to make other people invisible? Theoretically sure he probably can but is that something he usually does? he's usually moire out for just protecting himself.
He has all the powers of the Invisible Woman as they were copied from her DNA.

I'm not looking to get into a huge back and forth debate on this, as I'm sure Val is ready and willing to. So I may not argue much, I believe most of my major points have been made. Good Voting!

    1. It's simply shown to illustrate that Amora isn't immune to telepathic possession naturally Also Shadow King is tremendously more powerful now then Karma was then, so he can bust in easier then she would have been able to.

    2. Again she touched him to do it, he was under no impression that she would do that to him, In Fact he was under her control so he wouldn't fight back, She made no attempt to control Skaar and Skaar Knows she's his opponent and he belts his opponents if they get near him. ;)

    3. I do know that. That's part of why I would try to limit it ;)

But Xavier is more powerful and she blocked him, so by following your logic SK is doomed. (not to mention that she's not dazed, she's not surprised and she is actively closing her mind, so there is simply no way he could bypass all her natural defenses as a Goddess plus her own active power closing her mind)

    2. Again she touched him to do it, he was under no impression that she would do that to him, Skaar Knows she's his opponent and he belts his opponents if they get near him. ;)
She's invisible, so he cannot know she's there.

She Blocked Xavier with a spell, there's not been any proof shown she has natural resistance without using a spell. in fact I did show that without using a spell her mind can be penetrated. Asgardians do not have an innate psi resistance. Even the "Goddesses" ;)

She blocked it while he was trying to enter her mind, just like SK is trying to do. He's trying to enter her mind and she is not only in top shape, but actively closing it. Her power is far more than able to close her mind while he's trying to get in.

    1. Cant' see her body when she's doing it. Also doesn't really add to any resistance argument. ;)
    2. Aha but she is saying she has to Gesture! bwahahaha
    3. I am now done with this particular argument, since I think you just conceded that point :P
