I agree. You can't compare real world situations with fictional, so the similarity doesn't follow.

It's a biased argument. *It basically says mutants hate humans because humans are racists but that humans hate mutants because humans are racists. *So basically no matter who the hater is it is always the human racists fault. *Ergo, mutants are ultimately good people driven to hatred by humans and humans are bad people driven to hatred because they are bad people.
I don't think it's the same as African Americans and Jewish People. It's more like humans and Skrulls. It's the suspicion that both sectors of humans and mutants can't get past. There are no Skrulls in the real world US society, so you can't make the comparison. Your example of racial and religious differences you've given doesn't work because these two sections are not at war with each other in America, are they?

If there were no mutants, nobody was going take the mutant hater section of the community and start killing, say, the Spanish speaking communities, are they? The simplification of just waving off mutants as just another sub section of humanity that people can't relate too, is far to narrow. Mutants are not just a super Spanish section of society, that everybody is afraid of. There are Super humans in the world too, and nobody is sending out Purifiers to attack that elephant in the room, are they?
That's easy other humans just like in real life. Spider-Man would have been thrown behind bars in the early days if he was discovered. The only reason Super Humans don't get targeted as much is because most of them have signed on to being subject to some government oversight. Those that don't are typically branded vigilantes and would be thrown behind bars if caught.

Tell that to Stan Lee then because he certainly came up with the idea based on real world circumstances. This is a bit of a cop-out IMO, while the MU is not exactly like the real world, clearly the characters that inhabit it are designed to exhibit behaviour consistent with the real world otherwise the real world people who buy comics wouldn't be able to relate.

Have you studied history at all? More people have died because of race and/or religion than any other man made reason. I specifically used historical exampes in which different racial drops were at war with each other. Or do you think the holocaust, slavery and segregation was not influenced by race? Or the conquest of America from those savages (the term used by the Pope who wrote a Papal Bull supporting that conquest) that lived there before the Europeans "discovered" it? The point is this is an all too common and recurring theme in human history which is why Stan Lee decided to use it as the basis of his story.
It's hard for me to listen to people not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.
