I, too, feel that all of the ongoing series are well worth your money: Blood Syndicate, Static, Icon, Hardware, Shadow Cabinet, Xombi, even Kobalt.

I wasn't too blown away by the short-lived Heroes or the Holocaust mini series. But Deathwish was pure gold.

Sadly, I don't think the Milestone collections sold very well. DC remaindered Icon and Hardware a couple months back. I got all the available trades for 65% off.

I would settle for digital comics like they're doing with Sandman Mystery Theatre. Dwayne McDuffie gave me copies of their first issues for free at a convention and I loved them but my budget just couldn't handle another entire line of comics.

Hardware - I was sold on this book just from the promo ads alone. It had this bad*** line about taking the chain in wrapping it around the master's neck while the ad showed Hardware in his armor with this big chain in his hands. I'm telling you this dude could have easily been DC's version of Iron Man, he was so conceited that he rubbed nearly everyone the wrong way but he had a right to be conceited...the man was good! I was thrilled when he showed up in Justice League a few years ago, and disappointed when he was suddenly removed. DC did a crappy job of holding on to the Milestone characters, so much wasted potential.

The Blood Syndicate - Good book, lots of interesting characters. We were kept on our toes with exactly what was going on with the team, there was a lot of mystery and intrigue. On a side note I had always wanted to see The Blood Syndicate's Brickhouse meet up with Brick from Green Arrow...why not throw in The Thing while we are at it...

Static, Xombie, Icon (& Rocket, dammit!) were three of my very favorites in their time. Highly recommended, each!

Icon was a really great book, Rocket almost steals the show, though.

Well they are in the same boat as most of DC's other books that go into trade. You have to be able to find them-especially if you are a person that does not shop online or live near a comic book store.

I live in Dallas and only 1 store has Milestone trades. Now that HORRIBLE McDaniel Static Shock is bulk everywhere.

You can't buy a trade if you can't find it.

It might be best if they do what Archie and Paramount did with their comics. Put them all on a DVD and sell it in book stores. Paramount did that with all Star Trek comics before IDW got the contract and put them on a dvd and sold it everywhere including Best Buy & Circuit City. Archie does their book like that by decade.

And you can print them in PDF as well.

The Star Trek one I think cost like $30 (I got mine way less for that) and the Archie went for $20 and below.

All the Milestone books can fit on a DVD taking up 3.5 gigs. And would cost less than Star Trek one with 500+ comics. Milestone had 250-if add in Milestone Forever, 3 Brave & Bold issues, JLA/Milestone crossover & Static Special-275.

As others have said, there really isn't anything from this line that wasn't worth while. There were books I passed on due more to budget than anything else, but my favorites were Blood Syndicate, Icon (Rocket remains one of the most awesome characters to come along), Shadow Cabinet and I even liked the Heroes mini series. But BS & Icon remain my favorites to this day.

I wish another company would invest in the line and just set them up in their own universe again. I would gladly drop a few DC & Marvel books to make room for some of these titles again.
