Default Question about Man-Thing's current status?

I stopped following the "Underbolts" when Marvel switched the Thunderbolts to the Dark Avengers. I was interested in the evolution of Man-Thing, but I have not seen or heard what his new form is like. Can anyone give me an update, scans appreciated.

He speaks the universal language. Everyone hears him differently.

I'm not sure what his status is.

I mean, the source of his original memories was resurrected in order to become the Champion of Life. But then the reboot happened. Now Holland is back, but it's unclear what did or did not...

Oh, wait, wrong guy. My bad.

I'm not sure if he was ever really mindless, despite what the narration said. Personally, I think the way he talks, or people understand him, rather, is pretty cool. Other than that, the Thunderbolts series went into the crapper when the team got sent back in time. And then the writer dragged out the storyline for waaaaaay too long. Maybe if Jeff Parker would focus more on the writing, rather than crapping out three issues a month it would have been better. There are certainly moments that are brilliant but overall it's started to suck. But I digress: Man-Thing is doing well.
