Good news for Sim, who was thinking of giving up comics entirely (which would have been a pity, considering what he's been doing with his "Strange death of Alex Raymond"), and good news for readers who might not yet know Cerebus, and who didn't feel like shelling out too much money for one of the massive reprint volumes. (Worth every penny, I'd say, but still a bit daunting for the tentative reader).

I can't imagine why he needs Diamond though. As far as self published comics go, Cerebus isn't exactly unheard of. I imagine his website generates a bit of traffic. Seems he could do what Marc Hansen does and distribute the digital copies himself and keep every cent.

Owning Cerebus in deluxe package is kinda elitist. Still, it deserves every praise it gets.

Wonderful series. Essential reading for comic fans. This is pretty cool
