Really liked the 1st PAD-written Capt. Marvel series, with Criss Cross as the artist. Wasn't a fan of the second one where he became a looney-tune psycho.
Lotta zingers in there too...especially on storylines in different books.

yeah, PAD has a great knack for balancing comedy, peril and weirdness. It was always interesting to me how popular the character got in such a short period of time. Definitely have attribute it to PAD's writing.

PAD did such a great job on the first Captain Marvel series with ChrisCross. It bothered me when the art of the book started to fall by the wayside.

I think if there was a new series, I would want Starlin, either doing pencils and writing or PAD doing the writing with Kev Walker, Daniel Acuna, Gabrielle Del'Otto, Paolo Rivera, or Jerome Opena on art.Other writers prospects I would consider would be J.
