Default Anyone wish RAFA SANDOVAL was still at Marvel?

recently RAFA SANDOVAL (ultimate hawkeye, ultimate doomsday trilogy, X-men Legacy) moved from marvel to dc comics, and is now the primary Artist on Catwoman.
while he is putting fantastic work in to that book, i fail to be interested in that series after the terrible #0 issue.

does anyone else wish he was still at marvel, and if so what book would you put him on???

if not that id put him on ULTIMATES as even if that title is going down hill under humpheries, at least we would have consistently good art on it

Ya, loved his work on Ultimate Enemy and U Hawkeye. Bendis did nothing but praise his work when they were doing that Ultimate trilogy and he said a few times that he wanted to do another project toegether, but I guess they never had a chance. It doesn't seem like a lot of creators are signing exclusives these days, I haven't heard either way for him, so I guess there's a chance he'll be back.

It's good for creators to stretch their legs a bit, and I like what I've seen of his art for Catwoman. I do think Marvel has a habit of not utilizing quality artists as well as they can. Sandoval hasn't been up to THAT much, and I'm still waiting to hear about Salva Espin on a new ongoing or Lupacchino, though she seems to be having fun playing the field at different publishers.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

I agree. It's an issue I raised about Marvel art a while ago.

I'm not even sure that artists like Clay Mann or Barry Kitson will be doing anything for Marvel NOW.

Well Mann at least still has Gambit, but I think that they definitely have some artists they could afford to retire from their roster.

I mean, they've definitely brought in some fresher talent, but the problem is one of seniority. Guys like Espin and Sandoval won't get promoted to big books so long as Marvel has JRJr, Land, Dillon and Larroca on call. Mind you JRJr and Larroca are more an acquired taste than a problem. Dillon's style doesn't really mesh with superheroes though, and Land is Land.

I think I'd put him on as a rotating artist for a team book. Not sure which one exactly, but All-New X-Men seems like a good fit.
